Calle Verde consists of four friends from Chicago who attended the same high school a year apart but eventually met at the University of Urbana Champaign. Their passion for music, the Latino community, and of course, partying led to the inevitable. Members Adrian Sanchez (requinto), Jeffrey Aguirre (tololoche), Daniel Soto (tuba), and Christian Alvor-Macias (harmonía) began by playing corridos on Green Street and so Calle Verde began. They started their music journey doing covers on regional mexicano hits they grew up listening to as well as current ones. Today they embark on a new step in the group's journey, writing and performing originals written by group members.
